Poll result will swing UPA Government in action, says CREDAI chief

The results of elections to 5 State assemblies should be a wakeup call for the UPA government at Centre, according to realtors apex body CREDAI Chairman Mr. Lalit Kumar Jain.

"These results will hopefully force the government to take quick decisions and work towards completing the economic reforms covering all sector including real estate, " said Mr Jain, who is also the CMD of Mumbai-Pune developer Kumar Urban development Limited (KUL).

Indecision and procrastination have plagued the real estate sector for long, he pointed out and expressed the hope that the powers that be will realise the importance of speeding up the reforms process and implement single window system of clearances among others. Also all parties will have to demonstrate their commitment to transparency and good governance to go into parliamentary elections.

CREDAI for long has been campaigning for MISSION TRANSPARENCY, administrative, banking, legal and land policy related reforms to rejuvenate real estate which in turn will revitalise the economy and contribute handsomely to GDP.
