CREDAI Chairman Lalit Jain on BJP's big mandatet

Lalit Kumar Jain, chairman of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India, said the following on trends showing the Bharatiya Janata Party winning a majority in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections:

Governance is his (Narendra Modi's) strength. Economy will now move, corruption will reduce, and efficiency will drive growth.

Reforms that we have been talking about will definitely come through, new policies will reduce cost of doing business, and in turn it will turn into affordable housing. Demand is sentiment-based.

We can expect a lower interest rate regime that will improve liquidity. So, with increase in confidence and liquidity, demand will improve.
